Why is TAJI more expensive than traditional whipped shea butter?
Thanks for asking - because we love to brag on our ingredients. We use pure nilotica shea butter in our whipped shea butter product. This luxurious, rare and pricer shea butter possesses a higher Olein content, with the essential fatty acid content 25% higher compared to traditional West African Shea Butter and is softer, creamier and sweeter in aroma. Long story short - it’s better for your skin, has an AMAZING texture and is non-comedogenic so it wont clog those pores either. We also use high quality oils (jojoba, sweet almond oil, apricot oil) that nourish your skin even further and once again, wont clog your pores like coconut oil. TL;DR we don’t cut corners in what we offer, so that comes with a slightly higher price tag.
What do I do if my body butter is melted?
Our products are made with natural ingredients and sometimes that leads to melting during their journey to you, just like chocolate or ice cream. No need to fear, plop your body butter in the fridge for about an hour and it will re-harden. While the butter will need to be rewhipped to regain its whipped texture, it still has all its amazing benefits in its harden and liquid state. Do I need to make sure my hands are clean before using my product?
Yes! Our products do not contain any preservatives, that means if they are introduced to germs or wetness they can grow bacteria. Not gross, just natural. Make sure your hands are dry and clean when using our products to prevent this. Also, use our body scrub scooper when using your scrub in the shower or bath to prevent water from entering the product.
Do you guarantee your products will improve my skin?
All skin is different, and TAJI Body can make no promises that our products will improve everyones skin. What we can guarantee is that all our products are made with the upmost care and with quality ingredients that have been proven to nourish and improve skin with consistent use.
Can I use TAJI Body if I have allergies?
All current ingredients can be found our website. Please consult with your doctor or dermatologist before trying a new skin care regimen if you have sensitive skin. All customers should do a spot test with any new product they decide to use on their skin.
Do you use synthetic fragrance?
Some of our products use synthetic fragrance while others only contain essential oils. All ingredients can be found on our shopping page.
What is product shelf life?
12 months with proper storage.
Is TAJI Body a black-owned business?
Yes, we are a small, black, women owned business.
Shipping
When will my item ship?
All items that are not pre-order will ship in 5-7 business days. Please allow 10 business days for pre-order item production.
I have not received my tracking information.
All tracking information will be sent to your email once it is available. Due to COVID-19, some mail carriers are experiencing delays in shipment times.
My package was lost or stolen.
We are sorry to hear your package has been lost or stolen. If your package has been lost (no updated tracking for 10 business days) please email to let us know so we can work with the mail carrier on a solution. We do not offer refunds on packages that are stolen. Please contact your mail carrier for assistance.
Can I pick up my order if I am located in the DC area?

What should I do if my item was broken or damaged?
All TAJI products are packaged in 100% reusable glass. While we package our items with the upmost care, there are times when our items are not handled properly on their journey to our customers. If your item has arrived damaged, please take a picture of your item still in the box and email us at info@tajibody.com so we can assist.
I am not satisfied with my product, can I get a refund or return my product for a new one?
It’s very rare that we have an unsatisfied customer, so we are sorry you are not happy with your product. We do not offer returns or exchanges on our products, but we would like to hear about your experience and see what we can do to assist. Please use our contact form to reach out to our team.
